How it works 
Hayfever (allergic rhinitis) is an allergic response to pollen and other allergens that affect the mucous membranes of the nose, eyes and air passages. Horseradish, Garlic and Echinacea have been used for centuries to help control the symptoms of hayfever and have been combined with Vitamin C and Fenugreek for effective formulas.  
 
Horseradish contains sinigrin, an effective agent which helps relieve hayfever. Sinigrin also helps eliminate mucus and has antiseptic properties as well. Horseradish is useful in the treatment of respiratory ailments such as watering eyes and a running nose. It has a strong stimulating effect as well as anti-catarrhal action which makes it a natural decongestant. 
 
Garlic, one of the oldest known herbs, has antiseptic and decongestant properties which derive from special highly complex sulphur-containing compounds, which are also responsible for its effectiveness.  
 
Vitamin C has antioxidant, anti-allergic and anti-viral properties. It has a positive effect on the immune system, the first line of defence against allergies, bacteria and viruses. Collectively the benefits of Vitamin C make it an essential ingredient for those suffering from respiratory symptoms, including hayfever.  
 
Some antihistamines which reduce the allergic effects of pollen often cause unwanted drowsiness. This is a problem especially if driving a car or operating machinery. Decongestants which help to dry up leaky noses sometimes have unpleasant and stimulating side effects, especially in the elderly. They may cause palpitations in some people and make sleep difficult.
