What is Kava & 5-HTP? 
Kava & 5-HTP is a product containing two ingredients Kava Kava and 5-HTP (Griffonia simplicifolia).  
Kava root extract is known world wide for helping to reduce stress-related anxiety and for combating the effects of anxiety disorders. When taken in small doses, kava helps increase awareness and activity without increasing tension. If higher doses of kava are taken, the chemicals in kava root induce sleep and may cause drowsiness. 
5-HTP (Griffonia simplicifolia) is a metabolic precursor to serotonin. It is a naturally occurring extract that comes from the Griffonia seed. 5-HTP (5-Hydroxytryptophan) is an amino acid that is the intermediate step between tryptophan and the important brain chemical serotonin. There is evidence that suggests that low serotonin levels are a common outcome of modern living. Many people living in this modern era 0f stress suffer from lowered brain levels of serotonin. This may lead to many people being so overweight, crave sugar and other carbohydrates, incur bouts of depression, headaches, and muscular aches and pain. All of these problems may able to be helped by raising the brains serotonin levels.
