Ginkgo Biloba is the world's oldest living species of trees, having survived over 200 million years. Its use in herbal medicine can be traced to around 2000BC. Ginkgo is best known for its ability to support circulation throughout the body and brain, and help improve mental clarity.

How it works: 
Clinical Studies show that Ginkgo biloba leaf helps improve circulation by inhibiting PAF (Platelet Activating Factor). PAF controls the ability of the blood to clot following a cut or wound. PAF is also involved in the formation of blood clots, which can block veins and other vessels resulting in heart attacks or strokes. Ginkgo's special benefits in improving circulation throughout the body, stem from the presence of flavonoids, terpenoids, ginkgoflavonglycosides, ginkgolides and bilobalide.  
Ginkgo biloba is a powerful antioxidant, which helps maintain healthy cells throughout the body. Antioxidants are also important to help maintain cell and vessel health through their free radical scavenging effects. 
 
Ginkgo biloba contains a 50:1 standardised pharmaceutical grade extract, analysed by HPLC/HPTLC to ensure correct levels of the active ingredients found in the equivalent of 8.0g of Ginkgo biloba Leaf.
